Ribbon
Tying Ceremony and Open House Celebration
On July 14, 2005 the Children's Advocacy Center
hosted a Ribbon Tying Ceremony and Open House Celebration to commemorate the
opening of our new facility and to honor the donors and supporters that have
participated in our Capital Campaign.
The Ribbon Tying Ceremony represented the
professional partnerships throughout Ottawa County that have allowed the Children's
Advocacy Center to serve child victims of sexual assault and their family
members. Attendees included Holland Chief of Police John Kruithoff, Ottawa County Sheriff
Gary Rosema, Ottawa County Prosecutor Ron Frantz, Department of Human
Services Director Loren Snippe, Zeeland Chief of Police
Bill Olney, Trooper Bill Coon of Michigan State Police, and Tim Bulthuis of
Grand Haven Department of Public Safety. Plaques were presented to the Ottawa
County Health Department, the Holland Hospital Foundation, and the City of
Holland for their support since the inception of the Center in 1998.
