Sarah is currently in the Masters of Social Work program at Grand Valley State University and obtained her B.A. in Psychology with an additional major in English at Michigan State University. She participated in the Adolescent Diversion Project, a program directed toward reducing recidivism for at-risk youth. She then spent a year working direct care at D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s Home for Children, a residential program for youths who have experienced abuse and/or neglect. The residential program provided her with intensive experience working with youths who have severe trauma symptoms in a trauma-informed, therapeutic setting. She graduated from the GVSU MSW program in April of 2018.
