Julie Leeson

Prevention and Outreach Director

Julie Leeson is deeply passionate about protecting children and preventing abuse, and is honored to serve as the Prevention and Outreach Director at the Children’s Advocacy Center in Ottawa County. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Hope College and has dedicated her career to serving children and families in both social work and Children’s Ministry.

Julie is committed to building strong partnerships with schools and community organizations across the county, equipping adults with the tools and confidence to recognize and respond to abuse. She believes that keeping kids safe is an adult’s responsibility and that prevention starts with informed, empowered adults. She is also passionate about teaching children body safety knowledge, helping them grow in confidence and awareness as part of a community-wide commitment to protection.

Outside of her role, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, going to concerts and movies, talking to friends, coffee dates, books, and laughing.
