Megan Westlund

Prevention Program Coordinator

Megan Westlund is an educator and passionate leader dedicated to creating environments where every child can thrive. She earned her master's degree from Grand Valley State University and her bachelor's degree from Calvin University. As a Teach For America corps member, Megan discovered her passion for building strong community partnerships to support children and families.

Throughout her career in education, Megan served as both a classroom teacher and school leader, leading curriculum development and implementation while supporting educators with the resources, training, and tools they need to help every student succeed. These experiences reinforced her belief in the power of strong partnerships between schools and community organizations. She is passionate about working alongside educators to create safe, supportive environments where every child is safe, loved, and known. 

Megan is honored to be part of the Child Advocacy Center. She is passionate about partnering with schools and community organizations to advance child abuse prevention efforts and help ensure that every child is safe, loved, and known. 

Outside of work, Megan enjoys making memories with her family along the shores of Lake Michigan and loves bringing people together around the table to share a meal and build relationships.
